Flu Shots

Flu Shots are available during flu season on  a walk-in basis  ie. No Waiting! Please contact us for more details. No appointment necessary.

Influenza is a viral respiratory illness which can cause symptoms such as fever, muscle aches, fever, headache, vomiting, diarrhea, pneumonia, and even death.  The severity of illness can vary in different individuals. The following individuals may be at higher risk of complications.  Therefore, the flu shot is especially recommended for these people:

-Obese

-Diabetics

-Smokers

-Patients with chronic kidney disease

-Healthcare providers

-Children age 6 to 59 months, and those individuals providing care to children <59 months

-Pregnant women

-Adults over age 65

Many false myths exist about influenza vaccination, including the following:

-The flu vaccine doesn’t work.

-The flu vaccine makes you get the flu.

-The flu is not that serious.

-It should be avoided in pregnant women.
